About Smoky Carrot Records
Smoky Carrot Records is a label releasing seriously titillating music both digitally (worldwide via The Orchard) and physically (in the UK via Cargo Records and worldwide directly from us) in addition to allowing fans to buy directly from the bands involved. We thrive on inclusivity, sometimes exclusivity and believe every record should be special to the fans who buy them. It is for this reason Smoky Carrot Records chooses to release sexy and limited runs of vinyls, with the option for a bonus CD to be contained in the sleeve.
It all started a few months ago… we were having a smoky afternoon when we decided to have our own record label which would release singles in an unadulterated vinyl format, with the aim of breaking even and having a bit of fun with groovy new talents along the way.Smoky Carrot Records is the release process down to its fundamentals, inspired by the driving DIY dynamics of fresh-eared labels such as Marquis Cha Cha and Label Fandango. We have the same bring-your-own-sandwiches operation and a genuine drive for helping bands reach somewhere else. Furthermore, we also have an online PR team with the resources to get some solid exposure.
