Rodeo Massacre

A Swedish/French psychedelic rock trio, Rodeo Massacre make an immediate impact. From the striking Scandinavian lead singer Izzy Lindqwister and her powerful voice to the swirling organ solos, Rodeo Massacre conjure up the soulful musical spirit of the 1960’s. ‘Heartaches and Wonders’ perfectly encapsulates the live show, harnessing the band’s on stage chemistry while also being intricate and interesting enough to warrant repeated listens.
As a recent live review in London Tourdates states: “Their brand of late 60s acid rock feels refreshing in its rich homage to the past. Izzy is a formidable prospect on stage – a cross between Marianne Faithful and Mick Jagger by way of Patti Smith (with all the curious androgyny you’d expect from such a description).”
Co-founder Zorba, from France, brings killer riffs to the songs and a unique guitar texture to the overall Rodeo Massacre sound. The once introverted Zorba now occupies a central role in the band, playing both guitar and drums and providing the vital chemistry in the rumbustious flurries of hair that are the Rodeo Massacre live shows.
Rodeo Massacre is completed by Ulf ‘The Wolf ’ Westergren who supplies an exuberance of musicality in the form of bass, guitar, organ and piano, both in the studio and on stage. Zorba and The Wolf ’s ability to lend their hand to many an instrument has enabled Rodeo Massacre to now become a three piece which has defined the band’s sound; achieving a uniquely simple, accessible psychedelia, with just three musicians whose complete sound is far greater than the sum of its parts.
Rodeo Massacre is currently recording new tracks and playing live around the UK and Europe.
